the displayed log of the transaction history shows "alice gave bob €0.01" while it is still pending (grey text) presumptive source
but once the transaction is completed (no longer pending, white text), it shows "alice gave bob a gift of €0.01" (i cannot find the string "gift" in this repository...)

additionally the pending transaction does not use the users' display name
