Is it because you have debug version app installed before you upgrade to 2.0(12)? Since debug version and testflight / production version use different backend server, you will load a different list for different version.
Before upgrade, it uses development server. After upgrade, it uses production server. So it may appear that data is lost but actually you are loading data from different server.

Unlikely, since my iPhone 4S cannot be connected to my Mac :(
