Site name

Wells Fargo

Site URL

https://WellsFargo.com

Update reason

The methods of 2FA that it supports have changed.

Additional information

The Wells Fargo android app is not a 2FA app. Logging into https://wellsfargo.com does not have an option to 2FA authenticate via the WF phone app. And the android app does 2FA auth same as a web browser, using phone call or SMS. Lame.

Hello @schwit61,
we've based the 2FA options for Wells Fargo off Wells Fargo's Advanced Access page, mainly:

If available, you can receive your access code as an email message, SMS text message, a call on your phone, or a push notification to your Wells Fargo Mobile app.

You're saying you have Advanced Access but 2FA through email, push notifications and RSA SecurID are not available?

We would need some sort of documentation link or screenshot to change the listing.
If no documentation is available or you can't find it, please attach screenshots of the 2FA setup and/or login process.

Note

Remember to blur or crop out any personal information linked to you.

This is what is seen after entering uname and password on the Android app. The WF app does no 2FA. It still relies on SMS, email or phone call for 2FA

Do you have to enable 2FA push notifications in the app perhaps?
I remember having to do that for one of my financial accounts (not Wells Fargo).
