On a call I consistently get complaints from the other side of the conversation about it being. 'a bad line' with lots of distortion and broken up audio.
My side of the conversation is fine. I can hear clearly with not distortion.
All sound settings are set to use system settings. M1 MacBook Air, latest OS etc etc. My network connection is good and no WiFi issues.
It seems to be specifically when I'm using my AirPods for audio. If I disconnect an use my MacBooks built in speakers and mic then the complaints stop. I do need to have the speaker volume on minimum to avoid echos but the call clarity is back to normal.
Calls using other app with the same AirPods work as expected. Google Meet, Zoom etc.
It's a difficult one to reproduce and I haven't heard the other side of the conversation so my description may be a bit vague. I'm happy to help provide any further info.
