No previous command matching /dance\.seek/u

I get this error when using alt-. after f to seek a character, am I doing something wrong? f seems to be bound to dance.seek.included, and alt-. to dance.history.repeat.seek. Even if I change alt-. as follows it tells me "no previous command" (but with the new pattern):
