User Guide for Smart Dorm Door Control System

Getting Started

  1. Access the web interface by navigating to https://door.ammaar.xyz
  2. If authentication is enabled, you'll be prompted to log in. Enter the provided password.

Door Control

Opening and Closing the Door

  • Use the toggle switch on the main page to control the door.
  • Slide right to open, left to close.

Emergency Close

  • Click the "Emergency Close" button to immediately close the door.
  • Use this feature in situations requiring quick security measures.

Understanding Door Status

  • Green indicator: Door is closed and secure.
  • Red indicator: Door is open.

Mobile Usage

  • The interface is fully responsive and works on mobile devices.
  • Access the same URL on your smartphone for on-the-go control.

Troubleshooting

  • If the door doesn't respond, check your internet connection.
  • For persistent issues, refer to my Troubleshooting Guide.

Security Considerations

  • Always ensure you're on the correct website (https://door.ammaar.xyz) before entering any credentials.
  • Log out after each session if using a shared computer.
  • Regularly change the access password for enhanced security.
