Procedure

• Place head on soft pillow to minimize movements artifacts (Geršak, 2020). Cover hand with insulating blanket to increase temperature.
• Check signal using a simple startle stimulus: deep breaths or sudden sound (e.g., loud band or a clap): write down if checks successful.
