This seems inappropriate. A Professional Military Mercenary Group, nor chemistry/medical staff would wear uncovered pants to a laboratory/surgical theatre.

Cargo/Service would be reasonable. This is just ridiculous. Voting for dismissal.

(I know which character is based of. It's only passable because they're a HOS. Even then, I feel it's kind of memey.)

I think security shorts are dumb as hell, personally.

But PMCG can already wear shorts, via the PMCG modsuit, that has a shorts variant.

Shorts as security uniform aren't wanted.
