Model metadata is currently configured on a user basis, however we may have a path to automatically pull in the source_id tables:

https://wcrp-cmip.github.io/CMIP6_CVs/docs/CMIP6_source_id.html

bschroeter added v2.0.0 and removed v1.0.0 labels
