TTS – Swedish Voices Recently Started Mispronouncing Things

Hey!

Our users are reporting issues with the Swedish TTS voices. Certain words are mispronounced all of a sudden, things like "hejdå", "tack", are pronounced with an English pronunciation instead of how a Sweden would say them.

Started happening about 1-3 weeks ago. What changes on your end? Nothing on ours.

Yes, try the following text: "Hejdå, Emina."

For "sv-SE-MattiasNeural" and "sv-SE-HilleviNeural" it is pronounced incorrectly / weirdly; for "sv-SE-SofieNeural" this one still seems to work like before. This is just one example, my customers have been reporting multiple issues with Swedish pronunciation (but i often just get the feedback that things are being mispronounced).

We are using the region "westeurope"; when i try it in your Speech Studio online I get the same result.

I wish there was more QA on your end to make sure whenever you change the models there are no issues affecting our production apps. Or rather give control to us to only update to new models when we choose to update (which is what is what's common practice with LLMs, I can choose a model version and my app can remain stable). Any updates on this, are you able to at least reproduce it on your end?
