Could not creare any profiles

I have a DEM and several vector files (I've tried for each). Each time I try to run VoGIS Profile Tool I get two pop-ups: "Could not create any profiles" and "Original features: Vector input not valid! Please check message log and 'Check Geometry Validity Tool'."

I did check the Geometry Validity Tool and had no problems. Both the vector and DEM are in the same CRS and unit of degrees. The log file shows this:

I did check the Geometry Validity Tool and had no problems.

That's interesting.

As the messages you posted, eg

$id [1] segments 13 and 16 of line 0 intersect at -70.0271950604, 18.5890667383

come from running the validity checks in the plugin and suggest that there's a problem with the data.

Could you run Vector -> Geometry Tools -> Check Validity again, this time with QGIS as method?
Fix the errors and then try to create the profile again?
