Overview

The goal of this request is to bump up the Grenzels a bit. Their Desert Rider cousins get a much better end of the stick (a better stat total, a speed stat, racial diversity, and a unique weapon). They are also combatted by Man-At-Arms, who are fairly similar and have better starting gear than the Grenzels. This request attempts to alleviate some of the concerns while making the Grenzels stand out better as mercenaries.

Proposed Changes

  1. Grenzelhofts gain the Heavy Armor trait, allowing them to wield heavy armor better, much like their Man-At-Arm counterparts.
  2. With a better focus on physical brawn rather than speed, Grenzelhofts should be better at wrestling and unarmed than their swift counterparts (Desert Riders get much better swimming, climbing and sneaking).
  3. Grenzels get a unique spear or a guaranteed Halberd. A Man-At-Arms can easily go to the smiths to the smiths/armory and start with better gear with comparable stats. Maybe also some slightly better armor, such as a steel chest plate and chain leggings on round start?
  4. Grenzelhofts do not start with the Mercenary key. But their Desert Rider cousins do. Give them this key.
