Description

As per an old bug report, https://github.com/solus-project/budgie-desktop/issues/1374, the screen flashes black and show the opened session before asking for the password after waking up.
There is no known work around that fixes this issue permanently, as far as I can tell, bwat47's work around reduces the privacy issue only.

Budgie version

10.9.1

Operating System

Arch-Linux, kernel 6.9.1

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Suspend the laptop (either by closing the lid or by systemctl suspend)
  2. Wake the device.

Actual result

The screen flashes with the desktop visible before suspending the device. It can also flash black before seeing the lock screen.

Expected result

I would expect that when waking up, the device only shows the lock screen, without flashing.

Additional information

There is no relevant information in journal or dmesg.
