Tutorials about Intake #425
Comments
https://github.com/ACCESS-NRI/workshop-training-2023/blob/main/intake/Intake_tutorial_p1.ipynb covers this ground fairly well, we could copy/link/oceanify etc it |
I agree with this sentiment. |
If everything is covered there, then we just need to link in the Docs! Could someone non-Intake expert (eg not @anton-seaice) go through the tutorial and see if it's at the appropriate level? Ideally two people? |
I don’t know, I like the idea of having everything needed to get started in the recipes. But acknowledge it is duplication. |
So you don't totally agree with the sentiment. The one of the proposed sentiments was "link". Let's ocean-ify it then? |
Sorry, was replying to your comment above @navidcy not @anton-seaice , I got a bunch of email alerts in one go from this issue. |
I think we need a tutorial just about using the Intake catalog (without any reference to cookbook stuff).
And potentially another tutorial that we won't advertise at the front page that helps people transition.
This way new users would just use new stuff and be free from legacy shenanigans.
What do you think?
