Unable to install

Hello,
Thanks for sharing this software on github. I was trying to install it on my local machine (Mac OS Monterey, M1) and the following error comes up when I run python3 -m pip install hymd after following the steps provided here .

I am using conda environments and the following packages have been installed in the environment I am installing :

The error is the following.

Failed to build mpi4py
ERROR: Could not build wheels for mpi4py, which is required to install pyproject.toml-based projects
 [end of output]

Do you have any suggestions on how to go about this? I tried to use Google colab as an alternative but it doesn't work either.
Appreciate your help on this matter and thanks in advance.
