For good wallet UX we want to be able to store and display data about recent transactions (sent and received)

The zcash_client_backend API doesn't support retrieving transaction data. In Zashi this is stored outside the client_backend in its own store. See:

Something very similar will be required in WebZjs to allow wallets to easily have access to this data for display
