The facets appear to reflect accurately the number of documents with relevant search results. However, clicking on the facets does not appear to narrow the search results. While the facets are added to the query string, they do not seem to be applied. I just thought I'd flag this issue, though I'm sure you're already aware of it.
Thanks again!

Hi Cliff,
Yes the facets are actually quite problematic. On first glance they seem to be accurate, but they are not actually. On a more complex query faceting on speaker will give you a good example of the problem. You would have to return all the index-keys() and then sort on frequencies to get a correctly sorted list, which gets quite awkward. At any rate I will try to get the narrow by facet links working, but I would use a strong caveat with the facets. I think it is safe to say that eXist does not currently support facets out-of-the-box. However, I did discuss this issue on the list and there is some preliminarily work being done, and also a great deal of interest in partnering with a funding institution to get the faceting work completed.
(Were you planning on demoing this on a particular day? I have some time this morning, and I can try to get it resolved.)
OK, good to know! We're not planning on demoing the application until you and Kevin arrive. So no worries. I just thought that I'd flag the issue. As we've said, the whole application is a learning exercise.
