Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
May be related to: #8909

When a new user tries to log in to DSpace using ORCID, an error occurs if the user's email address is set to private in ORCID (which is the default).

Describe the solution you'd like
4Science is already working on a solution for DSpace CRIS, with tentative plans to port solution to DSpace: https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSPACECRIS/Improvements+to+the+Login+Flow

NOTE: This is also noted on our "Common Issues" section on the ORCID Integration page https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC7x/ORCID+Integration#ORCIDIntegration-I'munabletoauthenticateviaORCID At this time DSpace cannot function without a user email address, so it is required to be set to non-private in ORCID.

Ideal solution would be along the lines of what is being built for DSpace-CRIS as described above. So, my hope is that this will be contributed back to DSpace as well in the near future.
