If you have /use in your macro, the tooltip isn't showing - neither is the item count.
The following example works fine:

#showtooltip
/cast [mod:ctrl] frostbolt
/cast fireball

but this wont work:

#showtooltip
/cast [mod:ctrl] Conjure Water
/use Conjured Spring Water

Seems to be an issue with all consumables
