Currently when there's an issue I just show a "Something went wrong" error message, without much guidance to the user on how to resolve the issue they may be experiencing.

The error messages should be more instructive with some guidance on how to potentially resolve the issue. For example, if connecting to a host fails and the host name used didn't include a .local TLD, one might suggest to add one or use the IP address directly.

Should take an inventory of possible errors and potential remedies to suggest to users. Could also link out into documentation for more complicated cases.
