There are three major DRM systems, Google Widevine, Microsoft Playready and Apple Fairplay. The DRM servers are not open source, you need to be a certified partner to run the DRM server or license proxy in your own environment. Most providers rely on a DRM vendor such as EZDRM to provide the license servers. If you want to provide the key via your own server the only option is Clearkey. I don't know if I'm just not typing in the right key words into Google. But I can't seem to find anything about running your own DRM server on your own hardware. If Encrypted Media Extension is open why can't I find any open source DRM servers?
