A better chop or sideways indicator

It would be nice to include an indicator for sideways detection, I use such an indicator in my code for years and works very well to detect market indecision.

It is very simple and effective, you need to count the number of times the price crosses the EMA for a given period of time.

Here are my settings for this indicator in order to give good results:
5min - EMA 60
15min - EMA 20
30min - EMA 10 (not tested yet)
1hr - EMA 5 (not tested yet)

You can call it vibration index or whatever you like

The sideways price action is the worst nightmare where most indicators are failing and most of money is losed, and it is better to be avoided.
