METAR and TAF plain text blocks to pass wx_string to WxStringDecoder component - needs to account for all the following.

The expected weather phenomenon or phenomena is coded in TAF reports using the same format, qualifiers, and phenomena contractions as METAR reports (except UP).

Qualifiers of Intensity or Proximity

  • Light
    Moderate (no qualifier)
  • Heavy or well-developed
    VC in the Vicinity
