Is there a timeline to support nbgrader > 0.7.1, as this would unblock up-to-date versions of Jupyterhub and other components?
There seem to be commits in the dev branch, but it would be helpful for our own usage how stable this branch currently is and when a merge to master is planned.

Thank you for your interest. We are in the process of testing out the latest dev changes that work with nbgrader 0.8.x in our live system and the plan is to roll it out by end of August. If you want to check it out you can install the latest dev release on PyPi. Documentation will also follow by end of August.
EDIT: This release is still not compatible with jupyterlab or notebook 7, since converting the nbextensions to labextensions takes some time considering the complete change of architecture.
