I have inspected the hc-files of all 2022 MEG recordings, using the script check_hc_2022.m
My conclusion so far is that the session at which Robert @robertoostenveld and Uriel were helping Rao in the MEG-lab debugging an issue with the headcoils (swapping nasion with one of the pre-auricular points) was a one-off occasion.
The datasets which produced outliers in the HC-files were either aborted, or a pilot dataset. So based on this I don't have the concern that researchers by accident are using faulty HC'ed datasets for production analysis.
