qc_status in topic is a cmip6 specialisation property, needs removal ... #34

It needs to appear in the specialisation, or in a document property (that might be nicer).

This might be doable in CIM2, depending on how it is used (particularly if the status becomes a document property).

I would fsupport it appearing in the CIM as a document property, with, I guess, boolean value (rather than the int that it now is). We are planning to use QC information to inform users of CMIP6 information that it has been "signed off" and is no longer provisional.

We currently have two other uses of qc within the CIM:

  • We have qc classes intended for use in describing scientific issues (now in the iso package), and
  • quality review documents in the shared package (for quality of documents), which includes the quality status enumeration.
