Make an indication on the doc page for a new release

At request from @trnielsen:

We should somehow make it more apparent on the doc page that the code is "alive". Currently the only indication is the copyright in the bottom of the page that states it is from 2022.

Possibilities are:

• update the copyright statement every year.
• get the release number into the page.
• ... other
