Plugin displays default mode values for layer with explicit mode set

Problem

Whether a top node or child, if a selection has an ascendant with explicitVariableModes set, plugin output – both Artwork and Content – reveals default mode values (except for Modes Artwork) that are incongruous with the explicit mode set.

For example, a selected item may have a dark mode explicitly set, but then show an attribute value of white for a primary background color variable (when that variable, in that instance, resolves to black).
