Applied a temp fix for: nahi/httpclient/issues/445 by replacing the cacert.pem file with the one at https://curl.se/docs/caextract.html

The original cacert.pem file can be found ~/TeSS/vendor/bundle/ruby/2.4.0/gems/httpclient-2.8.3/lib/httpclient/cacert.pem.bak

Needs the omniauth_openid_connect updating for a full fix.

Think there might also be an issue with the ca-certificates.crt on the production server as the monkeypatch did not work: nahi/httpclient#445 (comment)
