Please don't exit Mesh Edit mode when hitting Ctrl+S to save

Everytime when hitting Ctrl+S (windows) to save while in Mesh Edit mode Spine exits Mesh edit mode, while not finished editing the mesh. This is making everything taking longer as we want to save while working in mesh edit mode too, because now we need to switch back to mesh edit mode each time we save. This is getting pretty frustrating pretty quickly, especially while working with many meshes in a project.
