Loader in particular caches data in .fabric or other locations. The data stored there can become corrupted through various means (user/AV interference, hw faults, bugs, ..) despite our efforts to suppress invalid state. A typical end user attempt to fix this is reinstalling, but we currently don't handle this explicitly and leave old caches intact.
The installer should detect reinstallation and clear/mark-invalid caches or alternatively provide an unique installation identifier to the game so it can key caches accordingly.
