We are missing content for Play 6. Specifically, what questions should developers ask themselves in order to be sure that their web services are stable, relevant, and last long into the future?

subnational admin boundaries are going to change over the next 15 years. there is currently no place to collect global open boundaries, and historic boundaries. I don't have an answer, but adding a point or question here to highlight the problem is worth while.
can we still full open data downloads here? this is the biggest long term stability play for any web service -- can you get everything back out in case it disappears.
like "the long tail", I think so much of the other plays feed into this one.
