ARK LAN server

I've been trying to get Ark setup on Linux with mixed success. The install works fine but the game never shows up on my LAN. I used Ark Server Manager to setup the server on Windows and it works fine. I and others can connect to it just fine. So I started over on the Linux server and ran the installer. It installs and downloads the game fine. I can start the server and have no errors. I verified the game settings that I could find - GameUserSettings.ini (not even sure if it's the right file but it's the only one that seems to have anything in it). I have verified my firewall has the right ports open and even tried disabling the firewall entirely. The port forwarding is set to the server. Nothing changes. I still can't see it on the LAN list. I'm out of ideas. Why can I setup a LAN server fine on Windows but can't see it on Linux.

Edit: I finally found the server under unofficial. I'd like to get it as a LAN only. We also have to create our characters new again. Any way to assign our previous character info back to our character?

Edit2: Figured out how to get the character and world moved. Now to get it to read the mods... Any ideas where to put the automanagedmods line? I'm not entirely sure.
