No data displayed and plot data crashed compass when viewing and ploting a compound data type file #88

  1. File: ftp://ftp.hdfgroup.uiuc.edu/pub/outgoing/HDFCompass/kent-files/hdf5-handler-fake/compound_more_types.h5

  2. Testing version: Windows version of the release candidate from S3

  3. Issues about viewing the data:
    No data value is displayed. The table is empty.

  4. Issues with plots
    When clicking plot, HDFcompass got crashed.

Use h5dump to get the correct output or
Check the correct output of this file from HDF5 opendap handler under:
https://svn.hdfgroup.uiuc.edu/hdf5_handler/trunk/bes-testsuite/h5.default/compound_more_types.h5.data.bescmd.baseline

I've verified the crash.

@kyang2014 - can h5dump be used to view the correct contents for the file?

h5dump can dump all the data values. I think the crash is related to the plot feature of compass. To me it doesn't make sense to generate a plot of compound datatype, but it shouldn't get crashed if I click that menu.
