Yes your right, target of this repo was not over supporting androidTv apps, for androidTv you should use Leanback standards, I'm working on AndroidTv app too, as soon as possible I will add new update over MagicalExoPlayer, the core side is ok, changes will be over UI layer and user interactions too be sync with DPad on AndroidTV devices.
