Set Nautilus/default Ubuntu file explorer to always show hidden files. #29

Currently one needs to click on "show hidden files" per folder. Furthermore, the default columns seem to be Name,Size,Modified,Star.

  • Ensure the hidden files are always shown by default in Nautilus/the default Ubuntu file explorer.
  • Change the default columns to: Name,Size,Modified-time and Detailed Type in Nautilus/the default Ubuntu file explorer (such that one can sort on file extension).

gsettings set org.gnome.nautilus.preferences show-hidden-files false
