Helping with testing #2
Comments
Hey, thanks for offering to help! I'll add documentation to the readme right now. As I work on it, you can join the Discord server... https://discord.gg/ vAXd6ETM (remove the spaces in between, done to mitigate bots from joining). |
I've added documentation to the readme. Let me know if any of the points need clarification. |
Hello, I am looking to use my hearing aid, and I am having a hard time using it on linux (it works on android), I think is related to ASHA support, I tried testing it and got an error. I am going to open an issue and link to this issue. I use a Cochlear Baha 6 Max and I can test it. By the way, I have experience in programming, not rust but I can learn easily since I did projects in C, so I can help with it Finally, the discord link is outdated |
@OmarCastro Thanks for your comment. BlueZ (Linux Bluetooth Stack) does not have ASHA support. In addition, it is missing a vital component needed to make LASHA work. There is an open issue in BlueR asking for the component to be added. If you want to comment vouching for the feature, that may help. New Discord link: https://discord.gg/jSB2sCV3 (expires in seven days). |
Discord link is invalid. EDIT: I have entered, it was some issue with my Discord |
I finally decided to bite the bullet and install Linux on my laptop (Windows 11 was starting to annoy me, so a bit of encouragement was enough...). Please let me know how I can help test. I doubt I'll be able to do much if any development, as I don't know rust.
I have a pair of Oticon More 2 hearing aids I can test with.
