I confirm it solves the issue. Maybe we should set this as the default? The current default setting is # A setting for the PDF. I don't know whether it is important.

The default locale in Pandoc is set to `en-US`, same as the lang settings in Books.jl. To avoid JuliaBooks#302, it may be better to switch to other options like `en-GB`. However, this may also have some side effects such as changes in date formats. As a temporary workaround, we can aware the users of this setting.

Hi,
I noticed a very strange rendering issue with single/double quotations and comma.
will be rendered as
in the html and PDF. If I append an extra whitespace between
"
and,
