deployment on hosts without direct internet connection

I'm trying to get the deployment running on hosts in a network that doesn't allow direct connection to the internet, following the guidance on https://github.com/Juniper/contrail-ansible-deployer/wiki/Contrail-with-Kolla-Ocata. This requires setting of http_proxy and/or https_proxy, but I can't figure out how to pass environment variables to the playbook. I've tried various places but without success thus far.

regarding this issue - i didn't find http_proxy in that doc.
