Since Komorebi shows "on top" of any other desktop, it needs to act as a DE (desktop environment) in some cases. The app already features some basic functionality, but it's still very barebones. Since this replaces any existing desktop, we should ensure at least a bare minimum of expected functionality, such as:

  • Ability to move icons around
  • Renaming files/folders
  • Creating new files
  • Multiple selection
  • Customization options (eg. icon size)

Feel free to comment more features to implement, I'll add them to this post.

The ability to switch to double click to open folders instead of single click would be perfect.
