Currently we are not doing vector reconstructions to provide correct magnetic fields and the pulse is defined via transverse electric field. So the value of the field inside laser object is E_xy [V/m].
In principle it should be possible to obtain all field components from Gauss and Faradey's laws, but I'm not sure if this is of a great interest for the toolkit. One can easily obtain such full field via a short PIC simulation by injecting the pulse into an empty box, and this is what lasy should be useful for.
Is it also possible to get the B and E field informations instead of just the envelope out of a laser instance?
