Select button placement

There may be a good reason for the placement of the select button. But I've been using Sameboy on an iPad to make music on LSDj, and it requires heavy use of the select button in combination with the D-Pad. Placing it under the D-pad makes using it a bit clunky. Is there any way to move the select button to reach it with my right thumb? I realise its probably only a problem for people using tablets.
