question about core dumps #2104
-
do core dumps include personal info from accounts table? passwords/account names and IP addresses? if yes, what would be the best way to add em to the issues? (or if they are not really needed to stop attaching them) |

A dump is a copy of the state of the programs memory at the time of the crash. Whatever is in the memory of the program will end up in the dump. We don't store plaintext passwords for characters, but everything inside the config options (conf files) will be visible: your database passwords etc. Please think twice about uploading dumps without us asking you for one. You should never do it without being asked. If you get asked for one, you should probably DM the dump to whoever asked you. |
