So, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I can connect to my server when I'm on the same network, but externally, all I get from xiloader is a mbedtls_net_connnect error. I have the ports forwarded, and the zone ip's are my public ip, but nothing. As far as I know, all of my firewalls between the client and server are off too, just to test. |

did you change your ip in heidi sql? you have to look for zone id, you have to go to xidb/zone setting and put your connection IP, I play with some of my friends privately and use Radmin WPN, I copied the IP address of my machine with obtained with Radmin, I changed them all , and friends who connect with radmin have access, at the moment I use windower and in the setting file I add the IP address for the forced connection and everyone plays peacefully, I haven't created a public game server but exclusively a small group of friends, here in Italy to have a fixed IP I have to pay an extra fee, so I use radmin wpn |

at the moment I managed to get the connection working using windower and radmin VPN which can hold up to 150 connections for free |

I ended up figuring it out, turns out TP-LINK is....not great? Some unknown hardware issues prevented opening the ports, even though it worked just fine as an actual router. Swapped to a Netgear router and everything worked great. One of those "you get what you pay for" moments.
