Statistics

Using the LOC API, I made some very simple reports on statistics of what's available for use via loc.gov

• All sound recordings that are downloadable offsite
  • And also must contain one of the following text strings: "No known restrictions", "No known copyright restriction", "Library is not aware of any copyrights"
  • Statistics
  • Summary: ~56 days of content, almost exclusively AFC field recordings
• All MBRS material that is downloadable offsite
  • Statistics
  • Summary: ~9 days of content, a mix of interviews and films
• All National Jukebox material (including streaming-only material)
  • Statistics
  • Summary: ~22 days of content, mostly pre 1925 music, about half in English
