Yes they’ve moved to Tuya because they didn’t manage with the own firmware. Spoke with a couple of times about this. |

In case you manage to control it with Local Tuya it would be very interesting to know your experience (stability, reliability, etc.) |

Hey, One of our users indeed mentioned that they considered switching: #69 (comment). While I thought it's only about new devices it would make sense from the business perspective to align the development efforts across devices. For what's worth, with tuya you can completely block the outside communication (on your network level) and everything still should work via localtuya. There are some devices that will restart every couple of minutes if they can't resolve DNS requests though, but with one Tuya based Venta device I own it's not the case. |

Yes, it seems that they are gradually migrating everything to Tuya. I saw on their website that the (old) Venta app is only available for a reduced number of devices: "AVAILABLE FOR THE FOLLOWING VENTA DEVICES: AS100 AIRSENSE ECO Sensor I have not (yet) dealt with Local Tuya and hope to get around it, as I will soon be upgrading to the larger LW74 anyway, which is apparently still "open"... |

Hi,
I've got a new AH510 and just tried to integrate with Home Assistant by your integration.
The first thing I noticed was that the AH510 could not be connected via the Venta app (even though this was the primary instruction in the installation instructions), and I found a reference to the "Smart Life" app in the included documentation. This allowed me to connect the device (WTF is "Smart Life"?? Aah - seems to be from Tuya! I had always instinctively stayed away from Tuya as I just don't like this constant calling to China...).
The HACS integration fails to connect; and I have since discovered that port 48000 is no longer open.
=> Could it be that Venta has switched their newer AH5xx to Tuya? So I really would only be able to access it via the HA-Tuya integration?
