Can you use the plugin to uncompress jar files ?

I have tested unzipping a jar file using the plugin an it works on Android and iOS. Can you confirm if its only the Archive format that the plugin uses and not the file extension.

can you confirm the file formats that can be uncompressed using this cordova plugin.
