Describe the need

We’re looking to create a slim-starterkit-python template that can be directly used within JPL’s GitHub (github.jpl.nasa.gov) or other inner-source repositories. Currently, the process involves cloning the public starterkit and manually pushing it to an inner-source repository, which is not very streamlined. It would be ideal to have a more efficient approach, where users can simply click the "Use this template" button within JPL’s GitHub instance to create a new project, avoiding the extra steps of cloning and pushing.

This enhancement would improve workflow and adoption within the team.
