I'm excited to spin these up starting on February 6th! 🥳

A few ideas on ways to prep:

  • Announce as a new repo Discussion topic here: https://github.com/nsidc/earthaccess/discussions
  • Organize our Issue backlog and work on our feature roadmap:
    • I was thinking about playing around with the GH Roadmap feature here and getting that set up prior to the hackday
  • Start to get ideas floating around in GH for breakout groups and/or we could just do this organically at the beginning of the hack.

Feb 20. 13 people!
Folks settled on earthaccess repo GitHub Discussions - nsidc/earthaccess#463 - for saying what they worked on each hackday.

I recorded Matt demonstrating how to set up his development environment to contribute to the documentation. Will add to NASA Openscapes YouTube - recording

~ 10 participants today including 2 for the first time. Invited them to upcoming hackdays & Slack #earthaccess

From Coworking notes doc, thanks to @mfisher87

What did we do today?

Details in GitHub Discussion

  • UAT unit testing, figuring details for mocking
  • Nikki - Listing harmony services: listing services associated with collections. How to fit in service queries within the existing code framework and API. Want results to return available services and … later we can re-use this data for plugins
  • Luis - “small” bugs. Couldn’t reproduce icepyx library in local environment! But Jessica could. Heisenbug! Will continue to co-work on that tomorrow. Impact is accounts being locked out so it’s really high priority!
  • Ian - “small” bug dealing with time zones … don’t think it will be too difficult
  • Chris - working on OPeNDAP auth file (.dodsrc?)
