datasets for experiments on figshare/zenodo

can we publish these input datasets for the MOM6-examples test cases on such platforms?
figshare allows up to 5GB per file and provides DOI,... Also easy to wget from there.

I think it's a good idea. I believe datasets are available (https://github.com/NOAA-GFDL/MOM6-examples/wiki/Getting-started#installing-data-sets-on-another-platform) but not necessarily published (i,e. not with a doi). We do have services at GFDL to get doi and host data but that really is for data that we produce. The data we use as inputs is not necessarily ours. The advantage of your suggestion is that it's a good model for others to do the same for their configurations.

Before rushing forward with hosting the data somewhere, let's make sure that what we are using is actually available. I believe a data cull but be helpful too.
